Wildlife

Being located in Grand Teton National Park, Triangle X Ranch gives guest the unique opportunity to view and photograph a wide variety of wildlife.  Grand Teton National Park is home to approximately 400 different types of wildlife.

During your stay at Triangle X you can plan to see Elk, Pronghorn, Bison, Mule Deer and Coyotes – almost on a daily basis.  Shiras Moose, Wolves, Grizzly Bears, Black Bears, and Beaver are not seen as frequently, but it is not uncommon to spot one of these exciting animals.

With over 300 species of birds in Grand Teton National Park, bird watchers will delight in seeing Bald Eagles, Osprey, several different raptors, Canada Geese, several species of duck, and a great variety of song birds.  Occasionally seen are Trumpeter Swans, Sand Hill Cranes, Pelicans and Blue Heron.

While the animals inside of Grand Teton National Park are protected and are generally more comfortable around people on horseback, we must still treat them as wild animals to ensure our safety and provide adequate distance so they are not disturbed.
